Some people think women should be allowed to join the army, the air force and the navy just like men. To what extend do you agree or disagree?
In the present age, it is extensively acknowledged that women are playing an increasing essential role in areas such as education, politics, and economy. However, there is no consensus on whether women should to join the military. Some individuals claim that ladies shouldn't be denied the right to join the army, the air force, and the navy. Speaking for myself, I agree with this view.
On the one hand, convincing argument can be made that women joining the military may bring numerous benefits. In the first place, from an enlightened stand point, female patriots should be granted the right to go to the front line when their mother land is involved in a war. Considering the sweeping progress in gender equality, there is really no sense in denying them the right to fight for their country. In the second place, among this information era, computerization and digitization in the military have made it much easier for women to operate modern weapons. Lastly, in contrast with men, female soldiers tend to be more careful and patient when facing a complex situation; therefore the number of casualty may reduce a lot.
On the other hand, allowing women to serve the military do carry certain risks. The most serious one should be the health problem. There is no denying that the physical condition among women is generally weaker than men, which results in more suffering for female soldiers when it is war time.
In summary, despite the fact that female soldiers might be confronted with health risks, ladies' right to join the military should not be deprived.
